Movie Night

Last night we watched Nothing But the Truth. I hadn't heard of this movie until I saw it and a review printed in the newspaper's 'New DVD Releases' section. It sounded interesting and had a good review so I added it to the Netflix queue. We really enjoyed it. Here's a synopsis:

A thriller about the right to a free press and the price of principles. Journalist Rachel Armstrong (Kate Beckinsale) turns Washington on its ear when she reveals that a casual acquaintance (Vera Farmiga) is a CIA agent. The government's formidable prosecutor (Matt Dillon) is intent on learning the identity of Rachel's source and when she refuses, sends her to jail for contempt. In jail, she discovers the true impact of her decision and must decide whether her individual needs trump the importance of civil liberties. David Schwimmer, Alan Alda, Angela Bassett, & Noah Wyle co-star in this drama from Rod Lurie, the filmmaker behind "The Contender."

Throughout the movie, I kept wondering what I would do if I was the journalist. That thought kept me so preoccupied that I didn't figure out the identity of the source until it was revealed at the end of the movie, and then I felt as if I should have figured it out earlier!! But we both thought this movie was definitely worth watching.
