Te Cafe

For SP & I, no visit to Squirrel Hill is complete without a stop at Te Cafe. We love tea and Te Cafe has lots of tea to choose from. Usually we like to relax for a while inside, savoring our pots of freshly brewed loose leaf tea, maybe enjoying a treat like the Enrico's biscotti or scones they sell, maybe reading a book or magazine. But tonight, we didn't have time for a leisurely visit. We had errands & chores to do!!

SP zipped into a space along the road almost directly in front of Te Cafe and went in to get our teas while I waited in the car. I chose a tea called Blue Lady. It's a delicious black tea with orange, grapefruit, passionfruit, and grenadine flavors. SP chose one of the flavors of the day. I can't remember the name, but it also was a black tea with fruity flavors.

A while ago I finished my stash of Te Cafe's orange spice tea. My normal morning tea is Bigelow's Constant Comment, an orange flavored black tea. But the orange spice tea from Te Cafe is a special treat - one I enjoy in the afternoon or evening while relaxing. It is meant to be savored, not gulped as morning fuel for the day!!! So of course we bought some. We also bought a small bag of the Blue Lady tea, which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

If you like tea, definitely check this place out. Lots of teas to choose from as well as lemonades and coffee and they sell some sandwiches/wraps to enjoy with the teas. Everytime we've been there, the staff has been more than friendly - they are terrific. One time I was debating about trying the chocolate tea (which I highly recommend) and the girl working opened up the canister for me to smell it and described the tea - they've always been this friendly and helpful!
