Wonderful Weather

This week the weather is fantastic! It's been sunny with temperatures topping out around 70 and going up to the mid 70's later this week. There's a wee hint of autumn in the air (autumn is my favorite season so I'm very excited that it is approaching).

I've been enjoying this wonderful weather in my favorite room in the house: the sunroom. Back in July, we painted the sunroom 'pale sunshine' - it looks so much cozier yellow than stark white. I've been curling up in my favorite spot, the chair with the ottoman, iced tea and hot tea on the table, a pile of magazines and books next to me, and reading the afternoon away while a slight breeze wafts through the open windows.Yesterday, I finished the book I started while at UPMC on Monday: 206 Bones by Kathy Reichs. The TV show Bones is very loosely based on these novels featuring Temperance Brennan, a renowned forensic anthropologist who divides her time between laboratories in Montreal and the North Carolina - and I stress very loosely! While I enjoy the TV show a lot, it's very different from the books. I enjoyed reading the newest Temperance Brennan novel - it certainly held my attention although like many novel series, it's not quite as good as the earlier novels.
