Hot New Trend?

The January 2010 issue of Bon Appetit arrived yesterday. I haven't had a chance to flip through it yet, but one headline on the cover caught SP's eye: "The $5 Secret Ingredient Every Cook Needs." He quickly flipped to page 70 to find out. And started laughing.

The $5 Secret Ingredient Every Cook Needs, the Hot New Trend, according to Bon Appetit is none other than the disgusting smelling and tasting Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce that SP dumped on his fried rice last week."Rooster Sauce." Wow. SP was way ahead of the trend (we've had this bottle for over a year)! I am repulsed. And non-trendy, I guess. This stuff is about as friendly to my stomach as garlic. The smell alone makes me gag. I won't be adding it to my food, even if it is the 'in' thing to eat!!
