In the end, he bought salmon at Costco, not Market District. He also came home with a package of 3 scallops (one scallop for each of us). The MD sale? I think we ended up with just some canned crab, which we use for the Crab & Artichoke Orzo so it was worth it to buy some on sale.
Back to Good Friday: In late afternoon, SP made some of his orange martinis for us and Mom and I made a salad. It was our usual mixture of greens, green olives, kalamatas, tomato, red pepper, and some leftover mushrooms from the pizza. We also added some seasoned almonds.

Around 5 pm SP fired up the grill for the first time this year!!! We went out on the deck and, since we were out of oranges (no more martinis, boo), we opened some wine:

We grilled salmon, scallops, and a sweet potato (for SP):

An excellent Good Friday Seafood dinner. The only bad part: apparently the bugs love me because in just an hour I got 4 bug bites, 2 on each foot, and my feet were the only part of me exposed since I slipped off my shoes. The bites are very big and very red and look like huge welts. They are also very, very, very itchy and the one on the bottom of my foot is especially itchy/sore. Oh well. The fish was worth it!
That salmon looks great. Cedar plank grilling is the best!
