CSA Week #13

Week #13 goodies: eggs, beets with tops, snap peas, cling peaches, new potatoes, spring shallots, broccoli crowns, swiss chard, butterhead lettuce:I wondered what exactly a 'cling peach' is. Our CSA newsletter says: "This early in the season peaches are often referred to as “cling” because the flesh inside the peach is not yet free from the stone, or pit. Since these peaches are easily bruised in attempts to remove the pit, and are often a bit less juicy, they are great for canning and making pies."

Here's our Monday night dinner: grilled leg of lamb and grilled green beans:Leg of lamb means lots of ready to eat leftovers for the week!
