His & Hers Tacos

This past Tuesday & Thursday were taco nights. We used up the last of the ground meats in the freezer, the plain black olives my dad left behind, and some of the leftover sour cream and cheddar cheese. As usual, we made 'his and hers' tacos.

Hers:A mess. I can't seem to manage to make normal tacos. Mine are ground beef and seasoning from the taco seasoning packet. Then I mash up the beef, cheese, sour cream, tomato, cucumber, spinach (we didn't feel like buying lettuce in addition to spinach this week), avocado, add a little mild taco sauce and scoop it up with tortilla chips purchased at Costco:It was a glorious, sloppy mess, with taco stuff falling all over my face and shirt as I crammed in slop laden tortilla strips and crunched away. Fortunately, SP was too busy making his nice, neat, normal tacos to notice my barbaric taco inhalation.

His:Ground turkey with a jalapeno and another kind of pepper chopped and added to the skillet plus liberal seasonings from the spice collection (cumin, cayenne, chili powder, chipotle, cilantro, paprika). Made like real tacos: whole grain corn shells stuffed with meat then cheese then veggies then medium taco sauce.

I didn't take any other photos while I made dinner because I was too busy manning 2 skillets of meat plus trying to chop and shred and grate! The tacos were yummy.
