We were seated right away - it wasn't very crowded for a Saturday evening. I wondered if it was because they had just been in the news because of a Consumer Alert issued by the Allegheny County Health Department? The alert was lifted after one day. It's a typical diner decor inside. We both ordered iced teas, which were fresh brewed but a little on the weak side.
Here's what else we ordered:
SP ordered Lobster Bisque. He said it was good. I thought it was just OK. Seemed more creamy and cheesy than lobster bisque-y to me.
SP's Buckwheat Pancakes. Two huge pancakes that he enjoyed. I didn't try them.
SP's bacon and eggs. Perfectly fine bacon & eggs.
My Breakfast Sandwich on Mancini's - bacon, egg, cheese, tomato.
Lots of bacon, hot well cooked egg, melty cheese, warm egg. It was good.
We both liked our diner breakfast for dinner at DeLuca's. Our server was very friendly. I don't really understand the planet/space theme on the menu or why three TV's showed the same old stuff on a loop (an old TV show about them and an old sports event), but, whatever. Putting a live sports event on one TV (or more) would be nice. We'd go back for breakfast or a quick dinner.
