Towne Tap & Grill

We have been planning another vacation and this made me realize that I never finished my posts from some previous vacations. Like this meal at Towne Tap & Grill in Wilmington, NC. Sadly, I just saw on their Facebook page that they closed their doors on August 17. So I guess this post is pointless, but I'm going to do it anyway!
I don't know whether to be surprised or not that they closed. They were located next to a movie theater in a new looking shopping complex. There was a nice outdoor area (where we sat). But, it wasn't very busy when we were there. The food was pretty good, not great, but far from bad. Anyway, the above photo is the fried zucchini sticks we enjoyed. I remember we really liked those.
SP had fish (shocking) with sauteed green beans and he said it was pretty good.
I had a fried green tomato with pimiento bacon sandwich and sweet potato fries. I love sweet potato fries, and theirs were good. With SP's help, we ate them all. The sandwich, well, it's got several of my favorite things. I love fried green tomatoes, pimiento cheese, and bacon.

I'm sorry to hear this place closed 3 months after we were there.
