The Eagle Pub, a traditional English pub dating back to the 16th century that boasts many historical features including the RAF bar with its famous ceiling, the room in which the 'secret of life' was announced, and a ghost - it all was explained to us on our tour. Of course by the time our tour ended we were starving and we kept thinking the pub was kind of far away (it wasn't and we should have gone but extreme hunger = lack of brain function) and we just wanted food NOW. So we ended up down an alley at this tiny coffee shop: Indigo Coffee House. It's tucked away and we walked past the alley twice - even with the GPS we had trouble finding it, even when it was right in front of our faces!
Definitely a good lunch choice and we highly recommend it (but a wee part of me is a wee sad we didn't return to The Eagle Pub)!
