Thursday Thoughts

We're on the 8th day of June and here's what we have not yet accomplished:

  • A resolution to the rental car incident
  • A new cell phone for SP
  • A response from the yard guy

What we did accomplish:

  • A new washing machine. Then we did 6 loads of laundry over the weekend.

Tuesday I was terrorized by a giant bug. At first I thought it was a stinky, but nope, too big to be a stinky. It was up on the crown molding near my comfy chair so I couldn't reach it. Nor could I sit in my chair because there was no way I was turning my back on that monster. Or taking a nap. I thought about using the Swiffer floor duster to try to knock it off but I was afraid I'd knock it into my hair or my lap. I thought about calling my dad but I could hear the disbelief. "You want me to come get a bug off your wall?!!!!!!!" I thought about begging SP to come home from work right away and save me but that would get the same response. So I hid in my office. And then in the sun room. Finally SP got home from work and he killed the monster.

New on the To Do List: Spray for bugs. Again.

What We're Eating This Week:

What We're Watching:

  • We finished watching Bloodline Season 3 on Netflix. I think I enjoyed Season 3. It left some things dangling, and at times I was a little confused, and some characters didn't seem to get a satisfactory resolution to their story line in the final season, but overall, I enjoyed the 3 seasons of Bloodline.
  • I watched the first episode of Animal Kingdom Season 2. I'm willing to see where it goes but I hope it progresses and isn't simply more of the same.
  • Ugh the team I despise won Amazing Race. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
  • We started watching Fargo. So far, so good.
  • We also started Kimmy Schmidt Season 3. The show is like Animal Kingdom for me. Just when I think I'm going to quit, it reels me back in.
  • I finally watched the movie La La Land. I didn't like it. I was bored. I think I'm the only person who didn't like it.

What I'm Reading:
I'm still buried under a magazine pile. But I went ahead and requested some library books so I'll have that pile up & going soon!
