Paris 66

Last weekend we met B for dinner at Paris 66. B is our friend who was in Paris at the same time as we were so we met up for dinner there. It's always good to see him and it was nice to feel a bit like we were back in Paris. Here's what we drank/ate:
French Old Fashioned (Lagavulin 16 year, honey, ginger, club soda, orange, cherry) and sauvignon blanc.
Appetizer: Tarte Flambée Alsacienne - Flammekueche (thin-crusted tart with bacon, onions, crème fraîche). Yum!
Coq au Vin (slow-cooked chicken in red wine with onions, carrots, mushrooms, and bacon served with gratin de coquillette). It was really tasty but big for me (and I wanted dessert). I took some home for lunch on Sunday.
Lapin a la Moutarde (rabbit cooked with Dijon mustard cream sauce, served with rice basmati). SP really liked this.
B chose Demi Canard Roti, Sauce Orange (1/2 roasted duck, orange sauce, gratin de coquillette).
For dessert, B chose Soufflé Glacé Grand Marnier so we got a little show at the table.
It's always fun to see a flaming dessert. I had a tiny bit and really liked it which I consider unfortunate because now there is yet another dessert I want to have.
SP & I shared La Soisy Crepe with strawberry preserves and whipped cream.
We also shared Pear and Almond Tart. Just as tasty as I remember from the last time we were there.

We enjoyed our meal, especially (for me) the desserts. Our server was lovely. Definitely a place we'll return.
